Spring has sprung! Isn't it nice to have the extra daylight, and see the flowers begin to bloom? The season always inspires me to do something fresh & new with my life too. This issue of Cal Coaster is dedicated to inspire some thoughts for your website – maybe you need some "spring cleaning" or some fresh new content on your website. Here's a few ideas for you:
1. Offer some innovative ideas to your clients. As you know, this week taxes are due, and there are a lot of people getting returns! Why not remind your consumers that their tax returns could be put to good use when they invest in your product?? Whether its paving the driveway, or buying a new home, people will be more likely to connect with your suggestion when you can relate it to situations in their everyday life.
2. No time to offer an innovative idea yourself? Well, delegate it to someone else then. Every day we work with experts in one field or another. Maybe one of those experts would love a "plug" on the homepage of your website that links to an article they wrote. This not only gives you more (free!) site content, it creates the opportunity for others to advertise your website for you :)
3. Organize the clutter. If there is a section of your website consumers tell you is confusing, address it and make it more user friendly. Go to your website as a consumer. Do you find information easily? Is there room for improvement? Let CCWD know, and we can help.
4. Change it up. If your homepage has looked the same for 6 months, consider adding something new. None of us enjoy looking at the same scenery every single day. Neither do our clients. Please note I am not saying you need to redesign every 6 months, but I am saying it's important to continually let your consumers know you are interacting with your website. You may have noticed sometimes we add a little banner or message about upcoming holidays or events to your homepage – just a little something to let people know you are constantly updating info!
Hopefully I have planted a few seeds for thought in your idea garden. Remember to brainstorm about your website regularly, and soon you will be blooming with ideas.
Cal Coast appreciates your business, your time, and most of all, YOU!
Thanks Cal Coaster Subscribers!
Sincerely,
